How to Get Through the Coronavirus Outbreak as a Vegan Business

The 2020 coronavirus outbreak affects everyone, including vegan businesses.

In late 2019, the an infections upper respiratory virus popped up in China, mostly unnoticed. Since then, the now infamous COVID-19 coronavirus, named for its crown-like microscopic appearance, has spread around the world. Businesses have closed. People have been ordered to stay home. But where does that leave business owners, especially those who are working for a deeper mission, a mission beyond short-term profit? Mission-driven businesses that work for social impact can’t afford to be set back, so what should they do?

In this time of social distancing, vegan business owners can still do things to strengthen themselves and use this time. As a vegan business ourselves, we here at Harmless Studio are fully open and ready to help other vegan businesses. We have always conducted our meetings and presentations remotely, and we will continue to do so. While COVID-19 presents unprecedented challenges to businesses, it also presents opportunities for vegan businesses to double down. We will continue to offer compassion and support however we can in this time.

We wanted to share forward a special episode of a podcast aimed at vegan business owners. In it, a financial advisor and business coaches discuss what vegan businesses should currently be doing to strengthen themselves and prepare for the inevitable end of the crisis. Here are some things you can expect to hear discussed:

  • Why you need to continue marketing and growing your vegan business, and how to do it ethically and with integrity.

  • How to tap into gratitude in order to fuel creativity.

  • How to tune in to new opportunities for growth.

Excerpts:

  • "In life, there's always peaks and there's always valleys."

  • "You can use this time to be deeply creative and get clear on what you truly want."

  • "This is prime time for galvanizing our thoughts and vision in order to make our business the best it's ever been, reinvent our business, or galvanize the parts that may be weak because there were always more important things to do. There will always be opportunities to evolve. How can we be ready for the expansion that will inevitably come out on the other side?"
